Where to begin

It has been forever since I posted on the blog.  I tried to post pictures of our Texas trip in October? and the blog website came up and said I had reached my limit and would have to have a paid account.  I was not in the mood to pay so just haven't posted since.  Now I want to know if I can post just text and no pictures without paying so going to give it a try.

We have had an interesting last few months.  We went to Arizona at the end of December and planned to stay until the end of January.  Ended up buying a truck there that  promptly broke down and needed repair twice and didn't get back to Kansas until February 12.  We were back for son's birthday followed by the triplet's birthday so all was well.

We also returned just in time for the largest snowfall in one month in Kansas - think it was 22 inches so that was fun.  Having a snowstorm when you are retired means  you sit even more watching movies and knitting which is just fine with me.

Spring is trying to burst through now - we had our first weekend at the Trailerhood although it was too cool and windy to enjoy the outside.  But sitting at your table having coffee in the morning and seeing deer go across the river to the woods makes it worth it.  We also saw a total of 54 wild turkeys.  Five came up close to the trailer and we stood outside watching them.

My knitting lately has been darling vests for the girls.  My cousin Nancy shared a picture from a friend of a vest she was making and I fell in love with it.  The girls love it too.  Audrey knew she wanted pink but Lily and Izzy couldn't decide.  So I made Audrey a pink one then took Lily and Izzy to Twist and let them pick out their colors.  Lily picked red and Izzy picked a brownish gold.  Not too sure how great it will look - I tried to talk her into another color but she was firm on her choice so I am making it.

Going to try and post this now - hope it goes!
