This is an Alpaca farm near Lake Tenkiller. Pretty good picture considering we were going around 50 mph when I took the picture.

Church
Jessica and James lit the candles at church on the Sunday we were in Texas. Nice timing on our part!
Bon Jovi
This is my favorite picture I took at the Bon Jovi concert at the Intrust Arena on March 11. We were sitting in the second level far away from the stage but my new camera is fantastic. Of course it helped that son Jimmy taught me how to take a concert picture. He showed me to force the flash off and change a setting. He also picked out the camera for me and I am real happy with it. The concert was fantastic.

Spring Break 2010
Our plan for Spring Break this year was to take the fifth wheel down to Texoma, park it and then drive to Stacy's house for a few days then come back and camp the rest of the week. Thursday before break Dennis discovered that the end walls on the slide outs were damaged and we decided that taking it was not a good idea. So we came up with Plan B - find a cabin on Texoma and rent it for Tuesday - Friday. After many phone calls and internet searches we found that all the cabins in that area were either reserved, trashy or way too expensive. So Plan C was formed - I found a cabin on Tenkiller which is where Dennis wanted to go many months ago when we first talked about Spring Break.
Saturday we drove to Stacy's house - got there in time for James Jr's Soccer game

On Sunday we had church, another soccer game (adult) then shopping and bowling. The bowling was tons of fun - grandpa kicked butt!
On Monday we went to the Ft. Worth Science Museum which was very busy and interesting. I never saw such a crowd at any museum.

On Tuesday we left for Tenkiller. The cabin was very nice - a duplex with satellite tv, linens and cookware. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to return.

We came home on Friday to warm wonderful weather that changed by evening to cold and snow. We got 2 or 3 inches but by Sunday it was all melted. On Saturday we spent time with the girls which is always fun.
All in all it was a great spring break and I got a lot of knitting done - on my vest and one of the sweaters.

Girls
This last week has been a rough one. I got a lot of knitting done but not for the best reasons. The triplets started getting sick on Thursday, February 25th. Lily started running a fever and then Audrey came down with it the next morning. On the weekend it was obvious that this wasn't your run of the mill illness, Lily especially was very ill. Izzy came down with it on Sunday. On Monday, March 1 the kids took the three to the doctor. They were diagnosed with RSV. The doctor called an ambulance for Lily because of her oxygen level and Jimmy rode to the hospital with her. They did a breathing treatment on Audrey and then had Maranda take her to the hospital too. The five of them had to wait in the emergency room for three hours waiting on a room with two beds to open up. Both Audrey and Lily also had pneumonia and were on oxygen, Lily was also on IV fluids.
I left work at noon Monday and went to their house - Maranda brought Izzy home for me to take care of and she went back to the hospital. The rest of the week was spent with me at their house most of the time taking care of Izzy - which consisted of rocking her, trying to get her to drink juice and watching endless episodes of Little Einsteins with a few Mickey Mouse shows thrown in. I told the kids I needed Little Einsteins detox at the end of this week. She slept a lot but when she was awake she wanted rocked most of the time.
Audrey got to come home from the hospital on Friday afternoon and Lily was finally discharged on Sunday evening. She was still having diarrhea and vomiting occasionally but she was able to keep her oxygen level up during her nap so they let her come home.
They were not ready to go back to daycare yet so Maranda stayed home this morning and I spent the afternoon with them. What a huge difference. They are all feeling so much better. Audrey and Izzy are running around and act just like their old selves except for Izzy taking an almost four hour nap today! She is still a bit on the tired side.
I feel very blessed to have the type of job and boss that allows me to be gone for family illness so I could be there to watch Izzy so Jimmy and Maranda could both be with the other two. At the same time, I really wish I were retired so I could be there all this week so they didn't have to go back to daycare until after spring break!
