Surgery

I had carpal tunnel surgery today on my right hand. The numbness is now pretty well gone at 7:30 in the evening but the pain isn't too bad. I got to the doctor's office at 11:00 and left at 11:45. I went to Walgreens and left the prescriptions for pain pills and antibiotics then went to Panera and got lunch. After I ate, I picked up my meds and was back at work by 1:00. Was very hard to type at work because of the numbness but work wasn't busy so did alright. The worst part was the shot that the doctor put in to numb the hand. That was the most pain I have had in a very long time. Glad my left hand doesn't have Carpal Tunnel! I really like Dr. Melhorn and his staff. I go back in two weeks to have the stitches removed and do therapy. I think I have three sessions of therapy. It will be great to not wake up in the night with a numb hand!

These three hats came out so cute. I also made a purple one for Jessica. I was proud of the fact that I adjusted the hats to fit all the girls. Lily's had to be smaller than the pattern and of course Jessica's had to be larger. They all came out well and all four girls really like their hats.

I'm Back!

My goodness it has been a long time since I updated this blog. I have been knitting a lot of things - mostly hats. I made the triplets each a hat, Jessica, Maranda, a friend's daughter and myself. I am now working on a hat for a soldier. The gals in the fiber study group at work have decided to make hats for soldiers. Some are crocheting and some are knitting. I really love making hats! They go so fast but there are a lot of different patterns and they only take one package of yarn.

Tomorrow - January 26th I am having Carpal Tunnel Surgery. It is scheduled for 11:00 in the doctor's office. I will be there a couple of hours and then I am to go back to work and finish the day. In the evening I am to be in considerable pain but am to return to work then next day. I am real curious on how this is all going to work out. On Thursday I have a two hour dentist appointment for the beginning of a crown. On Friday I am taking a vacation day - relaxing, yarn shopping and meeting a friend for lunch. Pamper day. :)
