We traded our old too long and water damaged fifth wheel in on a shorter newer and nicer one today. This one is a 27 foot and is a 2000 pounds lighter and not as tall. Dennis said it was much easier to tow on a windy day which of course today was. He said there was a huge difference between towing our old one to the lot and towing the "new" one back to the house. We had a hard time deciding between two campers and finally decided on this one because it has a table and four chairs instead of a booth. We thought that would work better when we have visitors. It also has a huge clothing closet which will be nice on long trips. The couch is very comfortable and is a hide-a-bed for company.

Preschool Graduation
Tuesday was the preschool graduation for Lily, Audrey and Izzy. Since Lily is having adenoids removed and tubes put in her ears Wednesday, today was her last day of school for this year. The little ceremony was tons of fun and you could tell the kids just loved it. Each child had a graduation cap made of construction paper and each was called up to the front to get a scroll and be applauded. They just ate it up. After school we went to NuWay for root beer floats. Having a root beer float on the last day of school is an old Wilson tradition from when my kids were young, but in the future we will not return to the NuWay on Harry Street. Was not the best experience.

Trailerhood wildlife
We often see wildlife at the Trailerhood - some around the fire pit and some actual animals. :) This weekend we saw one we really would rather have not seen - a snake. Crawling up the side of the trailer and looking in at us through a window. Dennis believes the only good snake is a dead snake so this one didn't get to peek in anymore
Yesterday we also saw three darling little baby birds above our front door.
Unfortunately all three fell out of the nest today and were found dead on the front porch. If first you don't succeed, you shouldn't try flying I guess.
The other wildlife I did not get a picture of was today's lunch. It was a wild turkey walking along the wheat field across from the trailer. Since it is still turkey season, Dennis shot it and we grilled it today. Wasn't bad tasting, but a little tough.

We bought the futon for the Oklahoma trailer, the blue chair was from Scott and Niki and the gold chair was from Jim and Claudia, another couple from the trailerhood
Lower area - note the new windows.
Other end of the lower area. We bought the table and bench from Kmart. The shelf at the end with the stereo is half the table that was in the kitchen before.
I bought this white table shortly after we bought the trailer at a garage sale knowing it would look perfect in the kitchen and it does. Makes the kitchen seem much bigger
These were windows and Dennis took them out and made the nice shelves
As you probably know, we bought a trailer south of Winfield along the Walnut River last fall from our friend's son Scott. He was going to buy a trailer to put in empty lot next to his folks. Since he did not have the trailer yet, we used his furniture until he bought one. This last month he and his wife found a beautiful trailer and had it moved in so our furniture all disappeared last weekend. The trailer looks very different but really feels like ours now.
